Slow is smooth,smooth is fast
"Slow is smooth and smooth is fast" is a phrase from the U.S Navy Seals that speaks on how they adapt to navigating high-speed combat situations.
The idea is to practice slowly and correctly so that you develop the correct motor patterns and habits.
Pushing yourself to perform faster at an earlier stage will cause you to perform with more mistakes and further encourages bad habits.
It is only when you have a solid grasp of your foundation, you can then begin to accelerate the execution of that skill.
For me, this serves as a reminder that when doing anything new, whether it's in your career, hobbies, or any area in your life, to take your time and do things the right way rather than rush towards the end.
